Loved the drawings and the coloring. I especially liked the U.S. looking like a critter itself!

  4. Hi Janette,
Thanks. I had fun doing totally new subjects. Yes, the USA looks kind of like a blue horse running….

Had never heard of Chincoteague, looks like you had a great time. I got away this weekend and had a wonderful time with family.

  6. Hi Maya,
Thanks for the comment. I’m glad you visited my blog. I enjoyed scrolling through yours yesterday.

Caroline – playing catch up on your blog. This “Chi” one is wonderful on many levels. First, I appreciate getting a little glimpse into your vacation. And I love the many different perspectives of each frame….close up on some and very distant on others. And your last frame about refreshing your Chi on Chincoteague is very clever! You make me smile. LOVE you!

Hi Caroline…When I was a girl, I had a teacher who knew Marguerite Henry…the author of “Misty of Chincoteague” Our class was able to go to M. Henry’s house and hear all about this island and meet the horse, who is the star of the book. We all got to ride around the paddock on Misty’s back…poor horse. I have a picture of our class that day.. with the author and Misty. This island has always intrigued me…as islands do. I love your drawings and this post. So glad that you are refreshed after your vacation. What made you pick this spot to visit? Balisha

  9. Hi Balisha,
I love your story! I, too, read Misty of Chincoteague. We selected it because it was the closest nature spot to D.C.

Caroline…sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! I had never heard of Chincoteague so I googled it. Wow!! I’ll have to put that on my list of places to visit. It looks so beautiful! I love your drawings…better than any travel brochure 🙂

  11. Hi Alarm Cat,
Thanks for the feedback — an honor, especially coming from you! Yes, Chincoteague is a special place, but only off season.

Thanx for the comment! It’s the first one in my blog!!! Our family-friends-social-work language is catalan. Even we are so near to France I don’t speak french at all, I would like to. I love your drawing-storeys, that’s so cute! (I know my english maybe sounds “curious”, I used it nearly never)
