Caroline, I refuse to “like” this! While I respect your decision, please reconsider it! Your blog has brought me so much joy!

Caroline – I respect your decision and at the same time am sad because I really got such a “feel good” infusion from your posts. I applaud you for giving it another go in 2024 (yes the world has changed so much!) and hear your clarity. I can imagine there might be some relief at announcing this.

Sending you my love and support in all that you do. xoxo

Hi Caroline – I am disappointed that you aren’t going to create more of your wonderful stories and illustrations. You clearly put much thought, effort and love into each one. Thank you!

Your farewell note implies that blogs are no longer a relevant platform for sharing your creative stories. Maybe you could find a better technology solution that would allow you to continue.

Sad to hear your decision! I’ve really enjoyed getting to see the world through your eyes. your ability to illustrate and tell stories is unique. It makes me look at life differently, in the best way. Thank you for your contributions to the fabric of the universe ❤

Oh Caroline, I am so sorry to read this. I LOVE your blog with your amazing illustrations and your ability to turn daily life into spell-binding stories. I’d say that Instagram is no match at all for your careful, artistic drawings and wonderful stories. I hope you will keep drawing your stories. Maybe they belong in a fabulous book that we faithful readers can pour over and return to again and again. My all-time favorites are the stories of your mother’s chicken soup and the barista who is an aerial silks acrobat. Please keep drawing your stories! Barbara

Caroline – I’ve known you, your stories, your drawings, and your talent for many many many (many) years. Your tales are evocative and insighthful – and always bring a smile to my mind. I love seeing your blog. I hope that you continue to share your experiences in any way that you can. Your comments and illustrations are classic in a way that transcends the on-demand methods that Instagram promotes. Instagram is no match for YOU!

Caroline — you are a gifted artist and story teller. I have enjoyed your artistic posts and drawings over the past 50 years! Perhaps take a break, and think about another outlet that allows you to continue your creativity in a way that brings you joy! Dave

    Dear Caroline

I hope you will reconsider your decision to end your blog. After reading all the comments from your fans, I am not alone in saying, you are loved, your stories give us something we can’t find on Instagram or other such sites. It is precisely what the world needs more of not less. Your stories help connect us to our humanity.

I for one, wait eagerly to see and hear each new nugget like a fine wine , I savor it, letting it roll on the tongue and going back to sip and enjoy it again and again. As artists we can’t consider whether our art will be applauded or hated. We create first for ourselves and if others relate like a Monet Water Lilies, It’s fine but not required.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to your blog to read and enjoy the beautiful poems that are your stories again and again.

The muse will find you again. In the meantime do what you need to replenish your soul. Much love 💙

Darn it! I am truly sad to hear I will not be seeing you beautiful drawings, and your insight into the world. As you know, I have been ill and am just now able to catch up with the Outside World.

For very selfish reasons (my own enjoyment!), I hope you will reconsider!

I too am very sad to read this. What about this … what if everyone who responded here was willing to subscribe to a PAPER copy of Crayons that could be mailed out at your convenience? Old school, analog, I know … but relatively easy to do. Paid subscriptions would cover postage, printing, etc. and I would absolutely treasure them!

Caroline, this makes me so sad, but as others have chimed in, I respect your choice. I have loved seeing and reading your stories, so many of which I could completely relate to…especially your stories of Mexico.
